REGISTRATION

Registration

Entry Fee: $35

Registration Details: Teams will register online with the same OISRA website that they used to register for the regular season.

Registration Opens: Tuesday, February 27th at 9am

Registration Closes: Thursday, February 29th at 7pm

Start Orders: Coaches should submit the start order worksheet to Mike McManus (archerhit@frontier.com) by Thursday, February 29th at 7pm.

Tickets: Beginning February 19th, Meadows will offer their Spring Pass for $199 ($109 for age 7 - 14). This is available for online purchase only and is good beginning Tuesday, March 5th. This pass is good until the resort closes for the season.

Coaches (that do not have a Meadows Season Pass) will receive complimentary lift passes per the normal allocation. Request must be submitted with your start orders. See the event handbook for comp pass guidelines.

Liability Waivers / Consent to Treat: All athletes, coaches, and volunteers must complete an online Mt Hood Meadows liability release form. This is mandatory - no exceptions! Parents of racers under 18 years of age (only if you have not turned this is prior to State) must also complete the Providence Medical Consent to Treat form. This form should be turned in for all athletes during team / school check-in.

7:30am - 12pm in the Mt Hood Meadows Freeride Room

6 - 8pm in the Mt Hood Meadows Main Lodge. Pre-ordered merchandise will be available for pick up.

Only a coach or head parent rep needs to check-in - athletes do not. At check-in you will receive any coach lift passes and you will need to turn in your gate judge deposit as well as all Meadows medical waivers. Check-in for teams and individuals must be completed by Wednesday at 8pm.

Teams must provide their own gates. A coach or parent rep must be at the top of the course at all times. Helmets are mandatory.

COACHES MEETING: These meetings are mandatory for all head coaches.

Wednesday, March 6th at 8pm at Collins Lake Community Room - race bibs will be distributed at this meeting.

Note: parking is very limited. Please park out on the Loop Road or walk from your lodging in Government Camp. Directions: The club house is a straight shot down E Creek Ridge Road from the Collin's Lake office. You'll pass buildings A (with the office), B, and C, and the club house is the next building on the right.

RACE OFFICIALS' MEETINGS: These meetings are mandatory for all race officials.

GATE JUDGES: All gate judges are required to attend this meeting regardless of which day you are working. Gate judging responsibilities will be reviewed along with specific instructions related to this race. There will not be time to do this on the race mornings, so attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

Wednesday, March 6th at 7pm. Mt Hood Meadows main lodge in the racer room on the 1st floor.

WAXING / TUNING: There will be no defined ski waxing location or time this season. Please inquire and respect the rules of your lodging location for waxing your skis.

RACE RULES: OISRA Alpine Race Rules and team scoring will apply to the State Championships. There will be a modified "FLIP 30" for second run start order.

 

VOLUNTEER RACE DAY CHECK-IN: Check-in for officials, forerunners, gate judges, and other race workers is at Race HQ at Mt Hood Meadows, Main Lodge 2nd floor in the Freeride Room (Old Snowblasters). Depending on your position, you will be issued a lift pass and appropriate equipment for your volunteer duty. See the map here.

BIBS: Athletes will be issued one bib for the entirety of the event (both races). Bibs will be distributed to coaches at the coach meeting on Wednesday night. If a racer is only racing one of the two days, he/she will receive a bib assignment for that day.

AWARDS: The awards ceremony will be at Mt Hood Meadows on the Sun Deck from 5:30 - 8:30pm Friday night. Participants can purchase $20 meal vouchers fro $17 during registration. These can be used at any Meadows restaurant location that is open.

RACE HQ: Race Headquarters and all off-hill events will be held in Government Camp or at Mt Hood Meadows. It is recommended that you secure lodging in or near Government Camp. Race participants must arrange their own lodging and transportation to the venues..

Lodging

RACER SOCIAL: All racers are invited and encouraged to attend a free Wednesday night social at Mt Hood Meadows. The event will begin at 5:30pm and wrap up by 8pm featuring pizza, soda, and cookies for the racers (compliments of Rebound Orthopedics and Neurosurgery) as well as dancing, a DJ, and ski movies screening. Prizes will be given out via free raffle, one ticket per athlete. The event will be on the 3rd floor, Main Lodge in the Vertical and Vertical North Rooms. See map here.

  • Participating teams must provide an on-site adult chaperone for the duration of the social. One chaperone per school.

  • Racers must be present to win giveaways

  • Zero drug and alcohol tolerance policy. Any infractions of OISRA rules regarding drugs or alcohol will result in disqualification. Do not put yourself or your team at risk.

  • Note: merchandise ordered during registration will be distributed to teams during the social.

PROFESSIONAL RACE PHOTOGRAPHY: Mike Juliana Photography, the official photographer of the Alpine State Championships for many years, will be capturing all the action of this year’s race.

 

Order your state race photo package during registration and get all of your photos (GS, SL, and candid shots and awards pictures) delivered to you electronically. In addition, you will get your own personal online gallery so you can share with family and friends. Delivery will be approximately one week after the race.
